Common problems

What usually goes wrong

Leaves losing variegation

What you see: New growth comes in plain green
What it usually means: Not enough light. Move it brighter and prune back the plainest vines.

Yellow leaves

What you see: Several leaves yellow at once
What it usually means: Usually overwatering. One occasional yellow old leaf is normal.

Long bare vines

What you see: Leaves only at the tips
What it usually means: Light, plus a need for pruning. Cut back hard — it branches from the cut.
